Out of your comfort zone

“If you want something you've never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done.” - Thomas Jefferson

Comfort is an aspect of life that each of us can define in different way. What is comfort for you? A place, that makes you feel secure? Your financial situation? A person or your crowd that allows you to be yourself? Or your state of mind? What is your definition of comfort?

I strongly believe that understanding of that word might be changing throughout your entire life, depending on the stage and circumstances you are facing. However, I also think that being aware of your comfort zone is extremely important as it allows you then to grow the base, grow your safe space. This is when crossing the border of your comfort has its good roots. I have been considering my personal definition of the comfort zone for years. And it might have been changing several times, but it would always be a synonym of family & a feeling of being home. And home to me is where my heart is, as ironic as it sounds.

What does it mean for you? What is the first visualisation you have, when hearing "out of the comfort zone". What feelings come up?

A short-lived bout of insomnia is generally nothing to worry about. The bigger concern is chronic sleep loss, which can contribute to health problems such as weight gain, high blood pressure, and a decrease in the immune system's power, reports the Harvard Women's Health Watch*."

Meditation. Intro note.

“Meditation will not carry you to another world, but it will reveal the most profound and awesome dimensions of the world in which you already live. Calmly contemplating these dimensions and bringing them into the service of compassion and kindness is the right way to make rapid gains in meditation as well as in life.” – Zen Master Hsing Yun
